Chartered Accountants in Pakistan: Audit, Tax and Advisory Nationwide

WDS Chartered Accountants is an ICAP registered audit firm headquartered in Lahore that serves companies, NGOs and individuals in every province of Pakistan. Our partners handle statutory audits under ISA, federal and provincial tax compliance, SECP filings and CFO advisory for clients from Karachi to Peshawar.

How does the regulatory environment in Pakistan affect your finance function?

Tax compliance in Pakistan is split between the federal government and the provinces. Income tax and sales tax on goods are federal, but sales tax on services is collected by the province where the service is rendered. A company with offices in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad can therefore deal with three different services tax regimes at the same time.

Every company registered with SECP must keep statutory books, hold an annual general meeting and file audited accounts, and most must appoint an ICAP registered auditor. Banks, donors and public sector buyers usually require audited statements as well.

Our services across Pakistan

Working with WDS in Pakistan

Can a Lahore-based firm audit a company in Karachi or Peshawar?

Yes. ICAP registration allows a firm to conduct audits anywhere in Pakistan. Our team travels for fieldwork and inventory counts and handles the rest of the engagement remotely.

Which provincial authority collects sales tax on my services?

It depends on where the service is rendered: the Punjab Revenue Authority in Punjab, the Sindh Revenue Board in Sindh, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority in KP, the Balochistan Revenue Authority in Balochistan, and FBR for the Islamabad Capital Territory.
